I didn’t come up with the term Dual Healing, but the moment I heard it and I knew it described exactly what LURE stands for.
To me, dual healing is when two beings — like a person and a rescue dog — bond over shared trauma and begin to heal together. It's quiet. It's powerful. And it doesn’t always need words.
When someone’s been through something such as, abandonment, loss, betrayal, the world can feel unsafe. Trust doesn’t come easy. But I’ve seen what happens when two souls who’ve been through it find each other. Whether it’s a foster kid connecting with a misunderstood pup, or a survivor leaning into the soft presence of an animal who just knows healing starts there.
That connection is what inspired LURE.
Every product we create and curate, is made to support that kind of healing, the kind that happens in pairs.
